Russian Government Scholarship is a unique opportunity for highly talented students. The Russian Government has announced the Open Door International Olympiad for the fifth time. The aim of this olympiad is to select the world’s best minds and to attract them to come to Russia for higher studies and research. The Open Doors Scholarship allows the olympiad winners to choose from any of 500 Russian universities which also include 21 leading universities participants of the 5-100 projects. This year’s Open Doors Olympiad includes 14 subject areas that are mostly related to science.
The Open Doors Competition is organized by a group of leading Russian universities. The whole Olympiad for foreign students is a collaborative effort of the Association of Global Universities with the ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs. Moreover, the Compartrots living abroad and international Humanitarian Cooperation are also among the organizers of the Open Doors Russian Scholarship project association.
The Russian scholarship for international students is open for the master’s and PhD programs. The students who have excellent academic records and outstanding leadership qualities and wish to study in Russia for free must participate in this global olympiad for postgraduate students. Fortunately, like last year 14 subject areas are present and the new thing is the students for PhD can also apply in any of these subject areas. Last year, the PhD students were only able to apply for only 6 areas.

To be eligible to apply for Open Door Russian Scholarship, candidates have to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants with any nationality from any part of the world are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
