Applications for the Hurford Youth Leadership Program 2023 in the United States of America are now open. The Hurford Youth Fellows Program is a fully-funded fellowship and one of the most competitive fellowship programs in the world. 

Hurford Programs is one of the best youth exchange programs, where selected participants get in touch with global networks, democracy movements, and youth movements from all around the world. The main aim of the Hurford youth fellowship is to train potential young democracy activists and to build their leadership skills. In this program, the young leaders will engage in conducting research, meetings, lead presentations, online group discussions, and join all other important sessions on democracy issues. 

The duration of the international leadership program is 3 months. The program will take place in Washington D.C. from March 1 – to May 31, 2023. There is no application fee. The candidates will be on the basis of their work and their interests in working with others and advancement of democracy.  The candidates will be selected by the NED regional program staff, World Movement Secretariat staff, and the Hurford Youth Fellowship Alumni Network

The Hurford Youth Leadership Program is a fully-funded leadership program in the USA. Each fellow will receive a monthly stipend for living expenses, basic health insurance, and roundtrip travel to and from Washington, D.C. The fellows will have their own office including access to the internet and email. The program will also provide a stipend for long-distance phone calls.

Financial Coverage

The Hurford is a Fully Funded 3 Month Exchange Program in USA. It will Cover all the Cost Related to the Program for the duration of the 3 Months.

• Each Fellow will receive a Monthly Stipend for Living Expenses

About Hurford Youth Fellowship

The Hurford Youth Fellowship Program seeks to build leadership skills. During this, they Expand their Global Network, Learn Lessons from activists from democracy movements around the world.

Through the Program, Young activists Spend three Months at the World Movement’s Secretariat, during which they expand their global connections, and share experiences with other activists from democracy movements around the world.

Hurford Youth Fellows Program Theme:

The fellowship program will give fellows the opportunity to conduct research, make presentations, engage in meetings, and participate in information-sharing sessions on the following topics pertaining to democracy:

1. Defending Democratic Space
2. Promoting Inclusive Governance
3. Strengthening Democratic Leadership

Eligibility Criteria Hurford Youth Leadership Program 2023:

• Age limit: A participant must be no older than 30 years of age.
• Participants must demonstrate social or democratic activism in their communities or worldwide.
• Young leaders affiliated with civil society organizations are especially encouraged to apply. 
• Participants should great have knowledge of the English Language.
