Aalto Summer Research Program 2026 in Finland | Paid Research Opportunity

Aalto Summer Research Program 2026 is offering a tremendous opportunity to around 50 young researchers from all over the world in Finland. Bachelor’s and master’s students will work with the top research groups at Aalto University and will engage in topical research and network in a global setting through this international summer internship program. The duration of the summer program for international students is 12 weeks.

Students will get to choose their projects from a list of 46 projects offered by 7 different departments. The university has diverse areas of study which include fields within the School of Science, School of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering, and School of Electrical Engineering.

This summer student program in Finland will be enhanced by social and cultural events. There will be multiple lunch gatherings where students will get a chance to socialize and learn about the interests and projects of their fellow researchers. They can pair up to share their knowledge which will assist them in their research projects. To keep them hooked throughout the internship period, they will be taken to cultural, outdoor, and sporting activities where they will get to explore worthwhile scenes of Finland.

We all know that the cost of living in another country can be heavy on our pockets. So, to make international students burden-free, they will be paid a salary of 2000+ €/ month. This amount will be sufficient for them to cover their living cost and accommodation. The good news is, that the host country will provide a travel bonus of 400€ or 800€. After completion of this Aalto internship of twelve weeks, participants will have to present their work at a final poster exhibition.
