KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) is currently accepting applications for its research internship program in South Korea. The KAIST Summer Research Internship 2025 is open to international undergraduate and master’s students seeking research opportunities at KAIST laboratories. The internship program spans 7 weeks from July 1 to August 16, 2024

This South Korea internship in 2025 offers a highly paid opportunity for students in natural science fields, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, cognitive science, and Medical Science. Doctoral program students are ineligible for this internship; however, additional opportunities are available on our website for them.

Eligibility Criteria for KAIST Summer Research Internship Program 2025:

  • International students from all around the world are eligible to apply for the Summer Research Internship by KAIST.
  • Eligible students include overseas undergraduate students in their 3rd or 4th year of study.
  • Moreover, graduate students in a master’s degree program are also eligible for the internship.
  • Students who are enrolled in a doctoral program are not eligible to apply for the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology Summer Internship.
  • Similarly, the Korean Internship is offered for fields  that are relevant to natural sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology,
    Brain and Cognitive Science and Medical Science.
  • All KAIST interns must be willing to fully commit to the entire duration of the internship program that is 7 weeks.
