To improve today’s Al models’ accuracy, power, and efficiency, machine learning researchers go deeper into the algorithms, data, and statistics that support the. In this internship for undergraduate students, research on a variety of subjects is conducted by teams specializing in natural language processing, such as speech recognition, machine translation, chatbots (like ChatGPT) and their benefits and limitations.

The Computer Vision (CV) Department develops graduate programs and conducts cutting-edge research. Faculty members engage with future technology leaders, while computer vision researchers create algorithms for visual data analysis. Requirements of the MBZUAI Internship

The internship is open to all the Nationals.
Undergraduate students in STEM-related majors who have completed at least three years of their studies and have a CGPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
These students must be enrolled in their final semester of studies (Fall or later) after participating in the UGRIP.
A letter issued by the University Registrar confirming your enrolment status, admission date, program duration, and expected graduation date.
A detailed transcript that includes all registered courses from the first to the current semester, along with course names, grades, and credit hours. (Signed and Stamped).
Colored copy of passport (valid for at least one year)
Statement of Purpose explaining:
- Motivation for applying
- Personal and academic background and how it is related to the MBZUAI internship.
- Stand-out achievements (e.g., awards, distinction, etc.)
- Goals as a prospective UGRIP participant
- Preferred career path and plans

Language Requirements and Exemption Requirements

A valid certificate of any of the following:

TOEFL iBT with a minimum total score of 90
IELTS Academic with a minimum overall score of 6.5
EmSAT English with a minimum score of 1550

Exemption: A formal letter issued by the applicant’s university confirming that English is the primary language of instruction in their academic program.
